NEXA Engineering Consulting seeks an experienced Mechanical Inspector for mechanical site inspections in engineering consultancy or construction supervision projects.
The role ensures work complies with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable regulations.
Inspection and coordination duties
- Inspect HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting works on site.
- Check mechanical installations against approved drawings, technical specifications, and applicable standards.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents; inspect contractor-submitted WIRs and IRs.
- Monitor contractor work against project quality requirements and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve technical issues.
- Report non-compliant work, follow up on corrective actions, and ensure compliance with UAE authority requirements and regulations.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least five years of relevant mechanical inspection experience; engineering consultancy or construction supervision experience is preferred.
- UAE experience is preferred; residential high-rise project experience is beneficial.
- Familiarity with relevant UAE authority requirements, such as DCD, DEWA, Dubai Municipality, and district cooling providers.
- Good knowledge of mechanical systems, construction standards, and site inspection procedures; able to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
Workplace and employment
- Full-time position in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
- Site inspections are a central part of the role.
