Position
Mechanical Foreman – Chiller Maintenance.
Department: Maintenance and Facilities Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily mechanical maintenance activities, particularly for chiller and HVAC systems.
- Lead technicians and ensure maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Perform and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance on chillers, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, cooling towers, valves, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and chiller-related faults and coordinate necessary repairs.
- Monitor chiller plant performance and identify issues affecting efficiency and reliability.
- Prepare daily work schedules and assign tasks to technicians.
- Ensure maintenance activities follow approved procedures and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams, engineers, and client representatives regarding ongoing work.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, inspections, and spare-parts requirements.
- Ensure tools, materials, and spare parts are available for scheduled maintenance work.
- Guide technicians on proper maintenance procedures and verify work quality.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and ensure timely restoration of equipment.
Requirements
- ITI, diploma in mechanical engineering, or another relevant technical qualification.
- At least 10 years of relevant maintenance experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in chiller maintenance and HVAC systems.
- Previous experience supervising a mechanical maintenance team is required.
- Hospital or healthcare facility experience is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and team-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced maintenance and facilities-management environment.
Compensation
- Pay is QAR 2,000–2,500 per month.
