KEO seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join its team in Abu Dhabi.
The role provides on-site supervision and technical support for mechanical engineering aspects of a project.
The engineer ensures compliance with relevant codes, standards, and contract specifications.
Engineering and contractor review
- Oversee the design and implementation of mechanical systems.
- Review and approve contractor and subcontractor mechanical shop drawings and material submittals against project specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations in the project country.
Site inspection and quality
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to approved plans and schedules.
- Inspect and test mechanical installations at construction stages.
- Investigate mechanical defects and coordinate contractor corrections.
- Keep records of inspections, tests, and non-conformances for project tracking and quality control.
Safety and technical support
- Enforce safety protocols for mechanical work, conduct safety inspections, and address identified hazards.
- Provide technical guidance to the construction team, answer questions, resolve design conflicts, and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
Qualifications and experience
- 10 years of work experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience working on large-scale villa projects in the UAE is sought.
