Materials Handler

Duties

• Store incoming shipments in a holding area until items are processed for storage.
• Receive incoming shipments of medical supplies, blank forms, and publications from several supply sources.
• Input receipt into computer, mark receipt with index number/location.
• Check stock identification change lists to ensure the selection and assembly of proper items for issue.
• Complete necessary documentation with stock information and quantity for the requisitioning of medical supplies from a supplier.
• Set up proper storage areas for material within the general warehousing plan.
• Operate forklifts capable of lifting 2,000 to 6,000 pounds as high as 168 inches to move supplies.
• Comply with governing directions in respect to storage of medical items, blank forms, and publications.
