Materials/Field Technician
Role Overview
We are seeking a Materials / Field Technician to join our growing team based in Southampton.
This is a hands-on role working across construction, infrastructure and highway projects, carrying out on-site sampling, testing and quality assurance activities.
The role combines field-based testing with laboratory work and would suit someone with previous experience within construction, materials testing or a similar technical environment.
You will work closely with clients, contractors and colleagues to ensure materials are tested accurately and efficiently while maintaining the high standards of service and technical expertise that MSS is known for.

Requirements
- Experience within construction, materials testing or a related technical environment
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident using digital systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexibility to travel and work varying hours when required
