Material Handling Technician I
Role Overview
The Material Handling Technician I supports material flow, inventory control, and waste management operations across the Petaluma site.
This role contributes to safe, compliant, and efficient warehouse and production support activities while supporting Material Handling Team initiatives focused on operational efficiency, system support, and cross-functional coordination.

Areas of Responsibility:
While guidance would come from upper management, the Material Handling Technician I would primarily work independently with guidance as needed, focusing on tasks involving LGC’s warehouse processes, organization and inventory managements (to include, but not limited to, hazardous chemical inventories, raw materials, and finished goods), and chemical waste organization per EPA guidelines.

Qualifications
- 1+ years of inventory management
- HS degree or equivalent
- Regular use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word
- Use of a web browser.
- ERP system familiarity; FMP and/or IFS a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Flexibility to changing operating conditions
- Ability to influence performance and team development
- Prioritization and delegation of daily/weekly tasks
- Daily use of computers in an ERP setting
- Solid knowledge of data analysis, inventory management software, and forecasting techniques
- Enthusiastic team player with exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to work independently, self-starter
- Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Able to lift 40lbs.
- Kanban familiarity
- HAZWOPER certification a bonus
- Forklift familiarity recommended, certification a bonus
- Warehouse environment experience
