Material Controller

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of client-supplied materials to ensure timely availability for project execution.
• Coordinate with the QA/QC team to ensure timely inspection of incoming materials and compliance with project specifications.
• Monitor and analyze inventory data to identify shortages and support work-front planning.
• Coordinate with clients and procurement teams to follow up on material deliveries and resolve discrepancies.
• Liaise with clients to ensure materials are delivered in line with project schedules and requirements.
• Track material orders and maintain accurate documentation related to deliveries, inspections, and material issuance.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to forecast material requirements for upcoming project phases.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, company procedures, and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure data integrity across all material management activities.
• Prepare inventory and material status reports as required by management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to material control and inventory management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support project and operational objectives.

Requirements

• **Education:** Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• **Experience:** Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar Material Controller role.
• **Skills & Abilities:** Strong inventory management, material tracking, and coordination skills. Ability to analyze inventory data, identify shortages, and support project planning requirements. Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
• **Languages:** Fluency in English is mandatory; Hindi and Arabic are an added advantage.
• **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in MS Office and Oracle.

Experience
