We're building a new fiber optics training institute that takes people from zero to job-ready FTTH/FTTX installation technicians.
We're hiring an experienced, hands-on fiber trainer to deliver the practical instruction every day — and to help build the lab and exercises alongside our program lead.
If you've spent years in the field splicing, terminating, testing, and pulling/blowing cable, and you genuinely enjoy teaching beginners to do it right, this is for you.
What you'll do
- Deliver hands-on training in fusion splicing, termination, OTDR and loss testing, fault troubleshooting, and FTTX/GPON installation
- Run daily practical lab sessions and field-simulation exercises
- Take complete beginners through to confident, job-ready technicians
- Help build and refine training materials, exercises, and assessments
- Prepare and assess trainees for certification exams
- Provide feedback and sign off on trainee competency
- Maintain a safe, standards-compliant lab and field-practice environment
- What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years' experience training or mentoring technicians, with a proven track record of taking complete beginners to job-ready
- Strong hands-on fiber field experience: splicing, testing, OSP/ISP installation, FTTH/FTTX deployment
- FOA CFOT and one or more CFOS specializations (Splicing, Testing, FTTH), or demonstrable equivalent
- Confident with fusion splicers, OTDRs, optical power meters/light sources, and inspection tools
- Working knowledge of single-mode standards, GPON, and industry test/acceptance procedures
- Nice to have
- FOA-approved instructor status, or eligibility for FOA's Train-the-Trainer program
- Experience setting up a training lab or academy
- English/Arabic bilingual instruction
- Vendor certifications (Nokia, Huawei, Corning, etc.)

Experience
- training or mentoring technicians from beginner level?: 5 years (Required)
License/Certification
- FOA CFOT certification and at least one CFOS specialization? (Required)
