Position summary

Marketing Manager will shape Sapling's brand as it grows and support its goal to expand the business.

The role combines strategic planning and hands-on execution for a professional services firm seeking to differentiate its brand and capture market share.

Candidate profile

  • Significant marketing experience and strong business acumen.
  • Experience in consulting, professional services, or a high-performance services-based business.
  • Strategic, hands-on leadership suited to a small, growing team.

Marketing strategy and planning

  • Translate business goals into actionable plans for audiences, campaigns, channels, and resources.
  • Select appropriate channels, which may include conferences and events, social media, SEO, email marketing, paid advertising, and word of mouth.

Brand, content, and campaigns

  • Develop differentiated messaging for CEOs, CFOs, private equity partners, and investment bankers.
  • Manage online, LinkedIn, and in-person presence and promote team financial thought leadership.
  • Support internal thought leadership and content that moves prospects through the pipeline.
  • Coordinate campaign execution, contributors, timelines, and budgets.
  • Monitor results and adjust campaigns based on data insights.
  • Partner with sales on lead and customer nurture strategies.

Market and customer research

  • Conduct market research using customer data and competitor activity.
