Manufacturing Engineer Intern - Brampton, ON (On-site)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Participate in improvement initiatives addressing productivity, quality, cost, and safety.
• Create and update method sheets, standard operating procedures, production standards, and bills of materials.
• Support sourcing tooling, fixtures, and gauges; help address supplier-related quality issues.
• Support engineering change notices, machine setup, design activities, and new plant programming.
• Contribute to Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Assurance projects.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related university degree or college diploma program.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, collaborative, and communication skills.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and working with electronic data and documentation.
• Interested in manufacturing processes, continuous improvement, and engineering operations.

Preferred experience

• Manufacturing support or shop-floor experience is advantageous.
• Hands-on technical, machining, or manufacturing experience is advantageous.
• Exposure to CNC programming or Mastercam is advantageous.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, production standards, or continuous improvement is advantageous.
