Role overview

The role

• Lead, coach and develop a team of six specialists.
• Manage collateral operations, including margin calls, dispute resolution and collateral movements.
• Oversee futures processing and ensure operational obligations are completed on time.
• Manage brokerage payments and related controls.
• Ensure daily reconciliations are accurate and investigate and resolve exceptions promptly.
• Monitor operational risks, identify control gaps and drive remediation.
• Build relationships with Front Office, Finance, Risk and external counterparties.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, controls and service outcomes.
• Provide management reporting and operational performance updates.
• Support implementation of new products, system enhancements and regulatory change initiatives.
• Escalate operational issues and incidents and ensure effective resolution.

Experience and capabilities

• Experience in Financial Markets, Market Operations, Trade Support, Middle Office or Treasury Operations.
• Strong knowledge of collateral management, futures operations, brokerage processing and reconciliations.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management and team development.
• Strong risk and controls mindset in a highly regulated environment.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills; strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supporting derivatives, fixed income, FX or other financial markets products is desirable.
• Exposure to operational change, process improvement and transformation initiatives is desirable.
• Knowledge of industry best practices, regulatory requirements and market infrastructure is desirable.
