Manager - Trade Compliance

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the trade compliance program and related policies, procedures, and controls.
• Interpret trade laws and regulations, assess export license needs, and oversee license applications and sanctions processes.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, investigations, and corrective action planning.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise stakeholders on required policy and procedure updates.
• Deliver training and serve as the primary contact for trade compliance matters.
• Manage regulatory, industry, external advisor, and consultant relationships.
• Maintain transaction documentation, recordkeeping, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in law, international trade, business administration, or a related field.
• Certifications in export compliance are highly desirable but not mandatory.
• At least 7 years of export control and sanctions compliance experience in high-tech, aerospace, or defense.
• Strong familiarity with local and international export control and sanctions laws, including dual-use goods and technologies.
• Experience with compliance management software, risk assessment tools, and compliance training programs.
• Experience with government contracts, procurement, and regulatory engagement is advantageous.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
