Role overview

Maintenance execution and support

• Oversee scheduled, unscheduled, and phase or periodic maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, component changes, operational checks, and post-maintenance rectification.
• Provide aircraft preparation, technical support, and discrepancy rectification for maintenance test flights; authorized flight personnel execute the flights.
• Ensure maintenance personnel are qualified, competent, trained, current, authorized where required, and supervised.
• Maintain adequate manpower, shift coverage, and supervisory arrangements; identify capability shortfalls.
• Coordinate tools, calibrated TMDE, ground support equipment, facilities, technical data, materials, and components with relevant functions.
• Ensure current approved technical data and procedures are followed, and maintenance records are complete and presented for required QC inspection or verification.
• Control worksite safety, housekeeping, FOD prevention, PPE, tools, equipment, and maintenance discipline.
• Coordinate with Production Control, Quality Control, Engineering, Supply Chain, Workshops, Training, and Safety while maintaining functional authority boundaries.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs and trends, including plan attainment, productivity, recurring defects, rework, delays, record accuracy, resource constraints, FOD and tool control, and safety or quality events.
• Initiate or support corrective action, investigations, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement for adverse trends and process weaknesses.
• Support audits, investigations, and reviews, and ensure assigned corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
• Ensure assigned mandatory maintenance, modifications, and deferred maintenance are completed as scheduled; provide technical support for aircraft recovery, on-site maintenance, and authorized BDAR activities.

Requirements

• Ensure assigned maintenance personnel are appropriately qualified, competent, trained, current, authorized where required, and adequately supervised.
• Maintain adequate maintenance manpower, shift coverage, and internal supervisory arrangements for approved requirements.
• Ensure maintenance tools, calibrated TMDE, ground support equipment, facilities, technical data, and other resources are available and serviceable.
• Ensure maintenance personnel use current approved technical data and comply with applicable instructions, procedures, warnings, cautions, and limitations.
• Coordinate maintenance constraints and material or component requirements with Production Control, Quality Control, Engineering, Supply Chain, Workshops, Training, and Safety.
• Support audits, investigations, reviews, and corrective actions affecting the Aircraft Maintenance function.
