Manager, Product Management – Mastercard Payment Gateway Services (MPGS)

Role overview

Product management approach

• Translate customer needs, market dynamics, and payment ecosystem trends into products delivering measurable customer and business value.
• Balance long-term product vision with delivery priorities, technical constraints, competitive considerations, and commercial opportunities.
• Connect Sales, Marketing, Technology, Delivery, and regional teams to position, build, launch, and scale products.
• Assess market requirements, customer segments, technology dependencies, and portfolio trade-offs to develop globally relevant, regionally adaptable solutions.
• Set product direction with cross-functional stakeholders and align gateway capabilities with broader customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Own roadmap development, prioritization, and execution for assigned areas aligned with EEMEA and global objectives.
• Prioritize development according to strategy, customer demand, commercial opportunity, and delivery readiness.
• Conduct user and market research, including customer interviews, to identify pain points, motivations, unmet needs, and growth opportunities.
• Align business priorities, customer outcomes, product requirements, and technology delivery objectives.
• Oversee clear technical and business requirements for effective execution.
• Drive go-to-market planning, commercialization, and adoption of new and enhanced Core Processing products.
• Build working relationships with regional teams, customers, technology partners, commercial teams, and delivery functions to achieve product objectives.

Qualifications and experience

• Proven agile product management experience, ideally in payments, financial services, technology, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of payment products, gateway services, processing platforms, or financial technology solutions is preferred.
• Experience designing, executing, and synthesizing user research to improve customer value, user experience, adoption, and engagement.
• Awareness of competitive offerings, customer expectations, regulatory considerations, and industry trends, with ability to turn insights into product decisions.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and deliver high-quality products and customer outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging customers, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional partners.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of product practices and tools, including market assessments, product plans, roadmaps, business cases, pricing inputs, timelines, and research outputs.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• A technical background such as computer science is advantageous; an advanced degree or relevant professional certification is preferred but not required.

Corporate security responsibilities

• Follow Mastercard security policies and practices.
• Protect the confidentiality and integrity of accessed information.
• Report suspected information security violations or breaches.
• Complete periodic mandatory security training.
