Manager - PR & Communications

Role overview

PR and communications accountabilities

• Implement approved PR and external communication plans.
• Manage media relations and monitoring, and flag reputational issues.
• Develop corporate messaging in line with brand guidelines.
• Coordinate communications for openings and events.
• Coordinate outbound sponsorship activations with Marketing and Commercial stakeholders.
• Select media and channels for campaigns and announcements.
• Track and report PR and media effectiveness to the Senior Manager - PR & Communications.

Team and operational management

• Coach and develop PR & Events team members.
• Manage work allocation, performance objectives, and reviews.
• Apply delegated budget and vendor controls for PR, events, and sponsorship activations.
• Apply communication governance, approval, and escalation routines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Preferred: any one of CIPR Professional PR Diploma, APR (PRSA), or CMP (GCCC/IABC).

Technical competencies

• External communication planning and strategy; public and media relations; content and media production.
• Events management and execution, including resource, contingency, financial, timeline, and logistics planning.
