About The Role

• In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring strategic planning of ULD stock is managed through its full cycle to sustain operational requirements, fleet growth and network development.
• Develop the necessary relationships with both external and internal stakeholders at upper management level and working groups to enable and facilitate the rollout of KPIs, visibility dashboards and global ULD related initiatives.
• Establish and enforce operational KPIs that enable the control and performance measurement for adequate management of the teams and control, both operational and cost related.
• As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
• Introduce, develop and implement new technology such as BLE or equivalent, to digitalize the ULD fleet, ensure accuracy and compliance of QCAA audits and act as the focal point in the global rollout of these initiatives, aiming to streamline processes and improve reliability and accuracy of fleet status visibility.
• Keep up to date on development of the latest market products and trends to perform industry benchmarks and look for potential areas of improvement that can be implemented or introduced in the ULD department at QR.
• Address the root causes and potentially support damage reduction by establishing a reporting structure and generating visibility on damage ratios in outstations and Doha.
• Establish the operational and handling requirements of ULDs by GHAs and suppliers. Introduce and formalize these requirements in the GHA and supplier contracts, securing the publication of necessary documentation or agreements to facilitate compliance and implementation of these.
• Execute strategy as designed and intended by senior management by leading the full project to deliver expected and required outcomes.
• Protect visibility on ULD requirements across the network by utilizing existing tools and policies, and if required develop new platforms to ensure stations have the right amount of ULDs at the right time.
• Develop the annual budget requirements and forecast for the ULD workshop and ULD management department to ensure all consumable, leasing, and procurement requirements are budged.
• Interface with QR Technical to facilitate all QCAA requirements for the operation of the Part 145 ULD repair shop.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum of 8 years of job-related experience
• Management of muti-thousand-unit ULD fleet for a global airline
• Working knowledge of ULD fleet planning
• Management of large team across multiple geographical regions
• Ability to influence and guide senior level management to take decisions for the best interest of the business
