Stakeholders, reporting and team

  • Build independent, constructive relationships across business, operations, risk, compliance, finance and technology.
  • Write concise, evidence-based reports explaining material matters, causes, consequences and practical actions; lead closing meetings.
  • Support audit leadership with committee materials, regulatory requests, business monitoring and portfolio reporting.
  • Supervise and coach auditors, set expectations, review workpapers and provide developmental feedback.
  • Contribute to reusable test programmes, playbooks, data-led testing and improvements to audit methodology and tools.

Knowledge and experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as engineering, sciences, accounting, finance, economics or business.
  • Solid internal audit, assurance, risk or controls experience in a complex regulated environment.
  • Experience leading audits or assurance reviews from planning through reporting and follow-up.
  • Strong understanding of governance, operational risk, regulatory expectations and control frameworks.
  • Able to evaluate evidence critically, identify root causes and write concise, defensible audit conclusions.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, organization and time-management skills; able to supervise and coach colleagues.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; the source also begins a requirement concerning familiarity with audit management tools but is truncated.

Market and control context

The role requires understanding of market infrastructure and enabling technology, including exchanges, clearing, benchmarks, trade repositories and related data operations.

Relevant audit themes include regulatory compliance, operational resilience, data integrity and technology-enabled controls.
