We are currently recruiting for an
Manager - Insurance Management
for our client to be based out of their Dubai office.
Job Purpose
To oversee and optimise Organization's insurance portfolio, ensuring appropriate coverage, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance, in order to protect organisational assets and support effective risk management and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the management and optimisation of the Organisation's insurance portfolio across all applicable lines of coverage to ensure alignment with organisational risk exposure and business requirements.
- Support the development and periodic review of insurance strategies, coverage structures, and renewal approaches to enhance effectiveness, cost efficiency, and protection.
- Identify emerging risks and coverage gaps, and recommend appropriate actions to strengthen the overall insurance framework.
- Benchmark insurance placement strategies, coverage structures, and premiums against market practices to ensure competitiveness and value for money.
- Monitor insurance spend and optimise premium costs to ensure effective utilisation of the insurance budget.
- Oversee the execution of claims management processes to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant handling of all insurance claims.
- Review, validate, and where required directly manage complex, high-value, or sensitive claims to ensure optimal settlement outcomes.
- Engage with insurers, brokers, and key stakeholders in escalated cases to protect organisational interests and resolve disputes effectively.
- Analyse claims trends and loss data to support continuous improvement and risk mitigation initiatives.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on insurance requirements, coverage implications, and risk transfer solutions.
- Engage with brokers, insurers, and external partners to ensure effective service delivery and alignment with organisational objectives.
- Support business units in assessing risks and ensuring appropriate insurance coverage is in place.
- Oversee insurance renewal cycles to ensure continuity of coverage, competitive placement, and alignment with organisational requirements.
- Review policy terms, conditions, and limits to ensure adequacy of coverage and compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Experience And Qualifications Required
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- in senior role.
- Professional insurance certifications such as CPCU, CIRM, ARM, ACII, FCII or equivalent preferred.
- Strong knowledge of corporate insurance lines, including aviation, infrastructure, property, liability, and employee-related insurance programmes.
- Proven experience in claims management oversight, including handling complex or high-value claims and engagement with brokers, insurers, and loss adjusters.
- Strong working understanding of insurance policy structures, renewals, and contractual risk transfer mechanisms.
- Working knowledge of insurance management systems, risk management principles, and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and commercial capability, with the ability to interpret insurance data and support decision-making.
- Large-scale corporate insurance portfolios within asset-intensive or regulated environments, such as aviation, transportation, infrastructure, utilities, or similar sectors. Exposure to complex insurance programmes covering property, liability, aviation, and employee-related risks, with experience engaging international insurance markets and brokers.
