Job Purpose

Strategy and Governance

• Support governance and development of the Unified Control Center, aligning supervision and reporting with Authority directions.
• Oversee the Emerging Technologies Governance Framework and alignment with RTA, UAE AI, advanced innovation, and digital economy strategies.
• Lead foresight and scenario planning; develop and maintain responsible technology policies, standards, and governance mechanisms.
• Participate in governance committees and represent RTA in national and international forums.
• Manage the emerging-technology portfolio and advise senior leaders on investment, policy, and transformation priorities.
• Integrate risk, cybersecurity, and ethics into governance; collaborate on frameworks for AI, metaverse, digital twins, and quantum technologies.

Operations and Improvement

• Develop strategic research and foresight reports and executive briefs.
• Build partnerships with public authorities, technology companies, and research entities.
• Define innovation maturity targets and track progress using governance dashboards and strategic KPIs.
• Oversee policy and process preparation in alignment with UAE legislation.
• Evaluate pilot outcomes for policy and adoption readiness, with technical testing delegated to lab managers and engineers.
• Ensure emerging-technology strategies support RTA AI and Smart Mobility goals under the 2040 Urban Plan.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or master's degree in information technology or computer science.
• 9+ years of related experience with a master's degree, or 11+ years with a bachelor's degree.
• Certifications related to project management, digital transformation, or innovation management, such as PMP or CInP.

Technology Scope

• Emerging technologies include AI, innovation, virtual reality, metaverse, digital twins, and quantum technologies.
• Role scope includes responsible technology governance, foresight, policy, risk, cybersecurity, innovation portfolio oversight, and digital transformation.
