- \|About the role
- Manager of Data & Business Intelligence typically involves overseeing the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making within the organization.
- This includes managing databases, data analytics tools, and reporting systems to ensure the efficient gathering, processing, and dissemination of information.
- Additionally, the manager is responsible for developing and implementing business intelligence strategies, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and collaborating with various departments to optimize business processes and achieve organizational goals.

- ll Do
- Developing Data Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Driving Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive strategic initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experiences.
- Building Analytics Capabilities: Develop and implement analytics frameworks, tools and processes to enable the organization to extract meaningful insights from data efficiently.
- Data Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Data Infrastructure and Architecture: Oversee the design implementation, and maintenance of scalable data infrastructure and architecture to support the organization's data needs.
- Data Analysis and Insights Generation: Lead efforts to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, patterns, and outliers, and generate actionable insights to drive informed decision-making across the organization.
- Conduct deep dive analyses of business problems and formulate conclusions and recommendations to be presented to senior leadership.
- Apply complex research, business intelligence and analytical methods to identify trends that provide opportunities for product development, innovation and strategic planning.
- Create or review technical design documentation for research and business intelligence projects to ensure the accurate development of reporting solutions.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with executive leadership, department heads, and key stakeholders to understand their data needs and priorities and align data initiatives with business objectives.
- Talent Development: Build and mentor a high-performing team of data professionals, including data scientists, analysts’ engineers, and architects, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors, partners, and service providers to ensure the successful implementation of data-related projects and initiatives.
- Perform any tasks assigned by the line manager.
- \|Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in relevant field such as computer science Data Science or information systems or a related discipline.
- Deep understanding of data management, data governance, data architecture, and data analytics technologies and methodologies.
- Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to translate business needs into data-driven solutions and actionable insights.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to data privacy, security, and confidentiality.
- Experience in data mining and data analytics.
- Experience in extracting, transforming the data and making a presentable analysis for a given problem.
- Willingness to learn and adopt best practices in statistics, predictive modelling and ML.
- \|Technical and Behavioral Skills
- Should possess commendable leadership skills such as team management, delegating responsibilities providing direction, motivation and empowerment to the team.
- Strong project management skills.
- Should possess strategic and analytical thinking capabilities.
- Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in computer systems, servers, databases, security systems, and IT and network infrastructure.
- Experience in vendor management, risk management and change management.
- Should be adaptable, flexible and collaborative with good time-management skills.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English. Arabic is a plus.
- \|Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in payment services isa plus.
- Experience working in the UAE region is a plus.
