About The Role
The Manager Creative Studio leads the creative vision and delivery of HIA’s in-house creative studio across brand design, campaigns, content creation, social film, and selected on-ground brand activations.
This role is responsible for how ideas are developed, expressed, and executed creatively, ensuring the HIA brand is consistently strong, visually distinctive, and relevant across digital, physical, and social channels.
The role balances creative ambition with operational delivery, setting a high bar for craft, storytelling, and innovation while ensuring work is practical, on-brand, and fit for a live airport environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the creative direction and ambition for the Creative Studio by defining creative standards, visual principles, and execution priorities to achieve distinctive, consistent, and high-impact brand expression across brand design, campaigns, content, and social formats.
- Foster a culture of creativity, experimentation, and high craft standards by coaching the studio team, encouraging fresh thinking, and reinforcing brand discipline to achieve innovative creative solutions that remain aligned with HIA’s brand identity.
- Strengthen creative briefs and concepts by challenging conventional approaches, guiding idea development, and shaping clearer narratives to achieve more compelling, relevant, and impactful creative.
- Elevate creative output by monitoring global trends in design, content, social storytelling, and destination branding and translating relevant insights into studio practice to achieve contemporary, competitive, and audience-relevant brand communications.
- Lead the creative development of brand design outputs and campaign look-and-feel by interpreting briefs, shaping creative concepts, and guiding execution to achieve outputs that are aligned with the approved brand direction and campaign objectives.
- Oversee the creation of integrated campaign assets by directing design adaptation across digital, social, print, OOH, signage, and environmental touchpoints to achieve consistent, channel-appropriate, and campaign-aligned brand delivery.
- Maintain brand consistency by applying brand standards while adapting creative expression to different audiences, channels, and moments to achieve flexible, relevant, and recognisable HIA communications.
- Act as the senior creative reference for HIA brand expression by advising stakeholders, reviewing visual applications, and guiding creative interpretation to achieve consistent and high-quality brand representation across the organisation.
- Oversee the development of content-led creative by directing social films, motion assets, short-form video, and visual storytelling for digital channels to achieve engaging, brand-aligned, and platform-relevant content.
- Guide creative storytelling across platforms by shaping narratives, formats, pacing, and visual treatments to achieve content that is engaging, relevant, and appropriate for each channel.
- Develop creative content approaches by collaborating with Brand, Marketing, Digital, Corporate Communications, and Internal Communication teams to achieve improved reach, engagement, and brand perception across target audiences.
- Encourage experimentation with content formats, pacing, and visual language by testing new creative approaches within agreed brand and quality parameters to achieve fresh, effective, and brand-safe creative outputs.
- Lead creative input for selected on-ground brand activations and events by shaping visual concepts, reviewing creative applications, and aligning assets with brand standards to achieve high-quality, coherent, and brand-led audience experiences.
- Oversee event-related visualisation, layouts, and creative assets where required by providing creative direction and quality review without assuming event-delivery ownership to achieve effective visual support for approved activations.
- Ensure on-ground moments complement wider campaigns and content narratives by aligning activation visuals, messaging, and storytelling cues to achieve a joined-up brand experience across physical and digital touchpoints.
- Lead and develop the Creative Studio team by setting expectations, providing creative guidance, coaching capability, and driving performance to achieve a motivated, skilled, and high-performing creative function.
- Define studio workflow by prioritising briefs, balancing campaign priorities, content demand, and team capacity to achieve efficient delivery, clear ownership, and timely creative output.
- Review and approve creative outputs by assessing quality, consistency, brand alignment, and readiness for release to achieve polished, accurate, and production-ready materials.
- Create a collaborative and confident studio environment by encouraging constructive challenge, open feedback, and shared problem-solving to achieve stronger ideas, improved work, and continuous creative development.
- Partner with Brand, Marketing, Social, Digital, Events, Corporate and Internal Communications, and CX teams by interpreting briefs, aligning expectations, and shaping creative responses to achieve integrated solutions that meet stakeholder and brand objectives.
- Present creative ideas clearly and confidently to stakeholders by explaining rationale, guiding discussion, and supporting decision-making to achieve alignment, approval, and effective creative execution. Coordinate with external agencies or production partners by defining requirements, reviewing outputs, and managing creative alignment when specialist support or scale is required to achieve consistent, high-quality delivery.
Qualification
- About you:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 8 years of job-related experience
- Relevant experience, including leadership of creative teams, studios, or major creative workstreams
- Strong creative vision across brand design, campaigns, and content.
- Experience leading social content, film, and motion-based storytelling.
- Ability to balance creativity with operational delivery and stakeholder needs.
- Strong people leadership and creative coaching capability.
- Confident communicator, able to articulate and defend creative ideas.
Preferred
- Experience in aviation, travel, hospitality, or large-scale destinations.
- Exposure to experiential or on-ground brand activations.
- Experience working across bilingual or multicultural environments.
