Role overview

Primary responsibilities

• Plan costs using the cost-versus-value equation to support optimal financial outcomes without compromising project goals.
• Track monthly scope and cost movements from previous project phases.
• Assist in reviewing cost consultants' cost plans for accuracy and design alignment.
• Monitor design efficiencies and ensure third-party cost consultants follow their scope, guidelines, and procedures.
• Follow defined policies and processes and apply IPMS measurement guidelines, company policies, processes, and templates.
• Update business units on construction costs and design metrics.
• Represent the function in internal reviews and facilitate progress through stage gates.
• Use benchmarking to integrate design metrics with cost positions and provide assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Apply awareness of feasibility requirements related to cost planning.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of relevant cost-planning experience, including cost planning, quantity surveying, or estimating.
• At least two years of local GCC construction-industry experience is preferred.
• Expertise in industry standards such as NRM, CESSM, RIBA, or POMI.
• Experience on large-scale projects with construction value greater than SAR 200 million.
• Familiarity with cost and design benchmarking; Middle East or Saudi Arabian benchmarking experience is preferable.
• Basic ability to convey information and limited experience adapting messages to different audiences.
• Proficiency in cost-planning software; CostX is preferable.
