Role overview

Own and shape Clio's incident management and disaster recovery programs within Security and Compliance.

Coordinate across Production Engineering, Corporate Security, IT, Communications, and product teams to improve preparedness, response, and recovery.

This manager-level role owns a roadmap and outcomes while remaining hands-on with exercises, tools, and incident data.

What you'll do

  • Design and facilitate tabletop exercises and capture the gaps they identify.
  • Turn lessons from exercises, DR tests, and incidents into action plans and drive completion.
  • Keep DR plans, recovery tiers, RTO/RPO targets, and runbooks current as architecture evolves.
  • Coordinate DR exercises, document results, and circulate reports for review and executive approval.
  • Administer incident tooling, defining incident types, severities, response flows, escalations, roles, and automations.
  • Track incident trends and metrics, identify redundancies, and improve response processes.
  • Own the resilience roadmap and educate leadership and partner teams on proposed investments.
  • Bring structure to live incidents and escalations using Incident Command.
  • Partner with Security, IT, and Production Engineering on cyber recovery and resilience planning.
  • Use AI to accelerate objectives and model effective use.
  • Maintain clear, timely, factual situation reporting and external or customer communications.

What you bring

  • Hands-on ownership of incident management and/or disaster recovery programs at a technology or SaaS company.
  • Fluency in Incident Command or an equivalent major-incident framework.
  • Direct experience with tech-company Crisis Management Teams, their practices, and training.
  • Experience writing and facilitating tabletops and driving actions through completion.
  • Experience coordinating DR tests from planning and execution through reporting and approvals.
  • Hands-on administration of an incident management platform such as incident.io, PagerDuty, FireHydrant, or Opsgenie.
  • Strong DR/BC knowledge, including RTO/RPO/RTA, recovery tiers, service prioritization, backup, and recovery strategy in modern cloud architecture.
  • Comfort using AI, sound decisions under uncertainty, excellent communication, and ability to bring clarity amid ambiguity.
  • Preferred: cyber recovery experience; ITIL or major-incident practices; blameless reviews and resilience metrics; CBCP, MBCP, ABCP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, ITIL, or PMP certification; program-building experience.

Compensation

  • Expected salary range is CAD 120,200 to CAD 180,200 per year; placement depends on region, experience, and skillset.

Workplace and benefits

  • Hybrid work; local employees in listed locations are expected in the office at least twice per week.
  • Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, flexible time off, an annual counseling benefit, RRSP matching, and RESP contributions.
