Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production machinery, support equipment, and facility systems.
  • Complete work orders and document maintenance activities in the maintenance system.
  • Assist with equipment moves, installations, and upgrades to support production needs.
  • Follow preventive maintenance schedules and help develop/update related work instructions.
  • Support equipment improvement projects
  • Work with contractors and skilled trades on assigned projects.
  • Conduct basic safety checks, participate in safety training, and follow all safety procedures.
  • Maintain parts inventory by tracking usage and reporting needs.
  • Help keep the maintenance shop organized, clean, and functional.
  • Participate in facility upkeep, general repairs, and grounds-related tasks as needed.
  • Work weekends, as required.
  • Assist on special projects such as installing air systems, upgrading machinery, or supporting equipment rebuilds.
  • Perform all skills and abilities associated with the Maintenance Utility Technician and Maintenance Technician I positions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-4 years of experience in the electrical/mechanical field.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including technical aptitude and time management skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new equipment and systems.
  • Ability to read work instructions, follow procedures, and document completed work.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding and knowledge of common hand and power tools.
  • Intermediate welding, machining, and fabrication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work well individually and in a team environment.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
