The shift-based jobholder is responsible for a paper machine and monitors system performance, adjusting parameters under direction to improve efficiency.
The role uses basic problem-solving techniques for paper machine troubleshooting.
What you'll do
- Operate a paper machine according to standard operating and approved safety procedures to support continuous, efficient operations, quality standards, and production targets.
- Monitor system performance and, under supervisor direction, adjust calibrations and settings to synchronize unit stages, improve throughput, and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot routine issues using CIL and the defect handling system, recalibrate the centre line, and escalate serious malfunctions to the paper machine supervisor.
- Log operating parameters and DMSs, check that operations remain within normal limits, and report irregularities to the supervisor.
- Report raw material and consumable availability against the production plan to help prevent shortages.
- Report malfunctions and perform minor maintenance to optimize operating efficiency and prolong asset life.
What you'll need
- One to two years of experience in the paper or tissue manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of operating and safety procedures and standards.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of equipment and processes in the assigned area.
- Two years of paper mill experience is required.
Pay
- Pay is listed as up to AED 1.00 per month.
