Loss Prevention Store Security Agent

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in uniform, respond to pedestal alarms, and provide customer service.
• Detect and prevent theft and fraud, assist with suspect apprehensions, and facilitate civil or criminal prosecution as needed.
• Conduct CCTV surveillance and floor walking; investigate and report external losses with Organized Retail Crime investigators.
• Report alerts and support regional internal dishonesty investigations.
• Assist supply-chain investigators and coordinate with remote investigators and district managers on incidents, law enforcement reports, and shrink opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Provincial security license required where applicable.
• Related retail loss prevention, military, security, law enforcement, or study experience is encouraged.
• Valid driver's license preferred where applicable, with access to a vehicle and a good driving record.

Schedule

• Guaranteed 37.5-hour work week year-round, with advance scheduling.

Compensation

• Expected hiring range is CAD $37,590–$52,626 per year; the offer may vary with relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
