Loss Prevention Store Security Agent

Role overview

What you'll do

• Greet customers, respond to pedestal alarms, and provide customer service while supporting the store in uniform.
• Detect and prevent theft and fraud; assist Store Investigators during suspect apprehensions and facilitate prosecution as needed.
• Conduct CCTV surveillance and floor walks; work with Organized Retail Crime Investigators to investigate, identify, and report external losses.
• Report alert signals and support internal dishonesty investigations.
• Assist supply-chain investigators with potential losses and work with remote investigators and district managers on incident reporting, law enforcement referrals, and shrink opportunities.

Candidate requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• A provincial security license is required where applicable.
• Retail loss prevention, military, security, law enforcement studies, or related experience or studies are encouraged to apply.
• A valid driver's license, access to a vehicle, and a good driving record are preferred and may vary by market.

Compensation and hours

• Expected hiring range is CAD $37,590 to $52,626 per year; the offer may vary based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
• The posting states a guaranteed 37.5-hour work week year-round.
