Logistics Manager

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all yacht and heavy equipment transportation operations.
• Plan and coordinate transportation schedules, routes, permits, escorts, and delivery timelines.
• Monitor and control fleet operations, including vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, mileage tracking, and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure all transport documentation, permits, customs paperwork, insurance documents, and regulatory requirements are accurate and up to date.
• Develop efficient routing and logistics plans to minimize costs and maximize operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with clients, drivers, subcontractors, port authorities, and government agencies when required.
• Monitor transportation expenses and prepare cost-control reports.
• Track shipments and provide regular operational updates to management and clients.
• Implement and maintain logistics procedures, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
• Investigate operational issues and develop corrective actions to improve performance.
• Maintain records of vehicle inspections, maintenance, fuel usage, driver performance, and transportation activities.
• Manage logistics staff, drivers, and operational support personnel.
• Prepare operational reports, performance metrics, and logistics forecasts.
• Support business growth by identifying opportunities to improve transportation efficiency and service quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Logistics Manager, Transport Manager, Fleet Manager, or similar role.
• Experience in heavy transport, yacht transportation, marine logistics, or oversized cargo operations is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, permits, fleet management, and logistics planning.
• Experience managing fuel control systems, mileage tracking, route optimization, and transportation costs.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, logistics software, and reporting systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and transportation operations simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
