Dubai-based Logistics Manager overseeing logistics operations, transportation, warehousing, distribution, and supply chain coordination.
The role focuses on improving efficiency, controlling costs, and ensuring reliable delivery performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily logistics and distribution operations across multiple activities and locations.
- Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, transportation, deliveries, and collections.
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, customs agents, suppliers, and logistics partners.
- Monitor warehouse operations, inventory movement, loading, unloading, and order fulfillment.
- Optimize delivery routes, transportation schedules, fleet utilization, and logistics resources.
- Track shipments and resolve delays, damages, documentation issues, and delivery exceptions.
- Monitor logistics costs, service levels, delivery performance, and operational KPIs.
- Ensure shipping, customs, inventory, and transportation documentation is accurate and complete.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Sales, Finance, Warehouse, and Operations teams.
- Develop logistics procedures and identify automation, process-improvement, and cost-reduction opportunities.
- Lead, train, and develop logistics personnel while maintaining operational standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
- Strong understanding of freight management, inventory flow, shipping documentation, and distribution processes.
- Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, inventory systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, and cost-management abilities.
- Leadership, negotiation, communication, and vendor-management skills.
- UAE or GCC logistics experience is preferred.
- A professional certification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is an advantage.
