The Logistics & Lifting Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all site logistics and lifting operations.
The role ensures safe, efficient movement of materials, equipment, and manpower while complying with UAE safety regulations and project requirements.
Logistics Management
Plan and manage site logistics including material delivery, storage, and distribution.
Coordinate with procurement and site teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
Monitor and control site access, traffic flow, and laydown areas.
Maintain proper records of incoming and outgoing materials.
Optimize space utilization and ensure efficient site organization.
Lifting Operations
Supervise all lifting activities including cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment.
Ensure lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments are prepared and followed.
Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, and signalmen for safe execution.
Conduct pre-lift meetings and ensure compliance with lifting procedures.
Inspect lifting equipment and ensure valid third-party certifications.
Health & Safety
Ensure all operations comply with UAE HSE regulations and company policies.
Conduct toolbox talks related to logistics and lifting activities.
Identify hazards and implement control measures.
Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices.
Coordination & Reporting
Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Prepare daily/weekly reports on logistics and lifting activities.
Monitor productivity and suggest improvements.
Requirements
Minimum 4 years UAE experience in construction (mandatory).
Experience
with main contractors on building projects is essential.
Good knowledge of lifting operations, crane coordination, and logistics planning.
Familiarity with UAE safety standards and regulations.
Strong coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to handle multiple site activities under pressure.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Engineering / Logistics / Construction Management.
Valid Lifting Supervisor Certification (preferred).
Additional safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH / IOSH) are an advantage.
