Pernod Ricard Middle East manages the distribution and supply chain execution for a premium portfolio of wines and spirits across the Middle East and SAARC region, with a focus on compliant, efficient and customer-centric route-to-market execution.
Role Purpose
The Junior Logistics & Quality Specialist supports the execution of daily logistics and quality control activities across inbound and outbound operations.
The role focuses on accurate transaction processing, structured record keeping, inventory controls, and timely issue escalation.
The position works closely with 3PL partners, internal teams, and systems (JDE, LOOP, Cargoes) to maintain data integrity and operational discipline.
The role assists in nonconformance management processes and supports resolution of operational issues under the guidance of the Logistics & Quality Manager.
Scope & Impact
- Support daily operational controls to ensure smooth logistics execution, including accurate system postings, damage tracking, documentation management, and timely updates in relevant systems.
- Contribute to inventory integrity by performing routine checks and identifying discrepancies between 3PL and ERP systems, escalating issues for resolution.
- Assist in managing logistics-related quality incidents by ensuring proper documentation, tracking, and follow-up.
- Provide operational and reporting support to improve process visibility, compliance, and data accuracy.
Key Accountabilities & Detailed Responsibilities
- -Inbound & Outbound Logistics Execution (DSV / 3PL / Forwarders)
- Coordinate inbound shipments with 3PL and freight forwarders, ensuring timely execution and resolution of operational blockers.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., BC) on order status, loading instructions and dispatch.
- Inform internal stakeholders (e.g., CS, Supply Planning and Trade Marketing) once shipments arrive DSV & Customer warehouse/3PL for POSM & VAPs.
- Support procurement & Trade Marketing with outbound execution of POSM and VAP shipments.
- Be main Logistics point of contact for Trade Marketing team.
- Maintain structured filing for inbound and logistics records (demurrage, damages, credit notes, legal proofs), enabling traceability and audit readiness.
- All damages in inbound containers to be recorded in JDE under ‘DMGD’ location.
- Move in E1 via Stock Transfer (from MAIN to HOLD or DMGD or SHORT). Block the stocks via Lot Master Revision. Status is Q for HOLD, A for DMGD, P for both SHORT.
- Responsible for recording all inbound damage and consumer complaints in LOOP.
- -Inventory Control, Posting Discipline & Reconciliations (JDE / DSV)
- Perform high seas postings accurately and on time
- Updating JDE with the most updated ETAs weekly.
- Ensure all current month invoices are recorded in the same month
- Coordinate with IT and Finance for resolution of posting errors impacting inventory and financial controls.
- Support Marketing with Annual POSM stock count and ensure all count sheets and other records filed.
- Monitor ageing report and share this monthly with Marketing Team for their inputs and actions.
-Vendor, Freight & Commercial Controls
- Making sure inbound containers are brought to DSV on time as soon as they are discharged from the vessel
- Maintain supplier invoice tracker and perform weekly vendor SOA verification against received invoices to ensure commercial accuracy and governance.
- Updated Vendor SOA is shared every 3rd working day of the month with Logistics Manager
- Timely update GIT report with damages reported, DSV RCR number, RCR Date, LOOP reference & LOT serial no of damaged stock.
- Support Supply Chain initiatives impacting commercial & marketing execution (e.g., FY26 Incoterms setup, on time dispatch of NPD & RUCs).
Requirements & Competencies
- Working knowledge of inbound/outbound logistics execution and 3PL coordination, with disciplined follow‑up.
- Controls mindset for inventory accuracy, reconciliation, and posting discipline (JDE/ERP exposure preferred).
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Logistic.
- Proficiency in Excel and trackers governance; ability to maintain accurate operational reporting and master data.
- Stakeholder management skills across Finance, 3PL, freight forwarders and internal teams.
- Methodical, structured, and highly reliable.
- Proactive, improvement-oriented mindset with strong ownership for action closure and prevention of recurrence.
- Collaborative team player with effective cross-functional communication.
