Logistics Manager

Purpose of the Role

To coordinate and monitor day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring timely movement of goods, efficient transportation management, accurate documentation, and smooth coordination with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Arrange transportation and monitor deliveries to ensure timely execution.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documents, delivery notes, invoices, packing lists, and customs-related documentation.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, and clearing agents.
  • Track shipments and provide regular status updates to customers and management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customs regulations, and transportation requirements.
  • Maintain logistics records, shipment reports, and documentation accurately.
  • Monitor inventory movements and coordinate with warehouse teams.
  • Resolve shipment delays, delivery issues, and customer complaints related to logistics.
  • Obtain freight quotations and compare transportation costs to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Support import and export operations, including customs clearance processes.
  • Coordinate with sales, procurement, finance, and operations teams for smooth execution of orders.
  • Prepare periodic logistics reports and KPI updates for management review.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and security requirements during logistics operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
  • Knowledge of import/export procedures and shipping documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
