Logistics Coordinator

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with shippers, consignees, shipping lines, agents, transporters, and freight forwarders to ensure timely and accurate shipment movement.
• Manage end-to-end shipment execution, ensuring compliance with operational procedures and logistics standards.
• Review and validate shipping documentation through CRM systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor shipment progress and resolve operational discrepancies, conducting root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and operational data using CRM systems and Microsoft Excel for reporting and tracking.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and logistics procedures to support efficient and organized delivery operations.
• Escalate operational issues or customer concerns to supervisors with clear analysis and recommended solutions.
• Maintain professional communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Support operational reporting and data analysis to enhance daily logistics coordination and performance tracking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in logistics coordination, shipping operations, or supply chain roles, preferably within international logistics, trade finance, or commodity trading environments.
• Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, invoices, packing lists, and delivery documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking, reporting, and basic analysis, with familiarity in CRM or logistics management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to identify operational issues and implement practical solutions.
• Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in daily logistics operations.
