Role purpose

Consultations and investigations

• Provide legal revisions and advice on cases that may result in complaints or lawsuits and help resolve disputes while mitigating legal risk.
• Communicate case root causes to relevant departments to prevent recurrence and promote legal compliance.
• Manage internal investigations into suspected malpractice, misconduct, and breaches of policies or procedures; recommend disciplinary action where appropriate.
• Manage observations from anti-corruption authorities and lead or participate in committees as assigned.

Litigation and claims

• Supervise and review external law firms’ work on legal cases for completeness and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Represent and protect SANS interests in courts and committees and seek resolution of disputes to reduce legal, financial, and reputational risks.
• Coordinate parties and gather information and documents for lawsuits in general and specialized courts; examine grievances and complaints and recommend resolutions.
• Manage claims, attorney letters, litigation reporting, and recommendations; review claims for validity and settlement in accordance with company procedures.
• Coordinate with attorney offices, receive judicial notifications, attend court sessions, report on hearings, and follow up on judicial rulings.
• Draft legal responses and provide relevant documents for required actions.

Contracts and procedures

• Develop standard legal templates and processes and update them to reflect legal regulations.
• Draft and revise legal documents in Arabic.
• Monitor day-to-day activities for compliance and contribute to continuous improvement, cost reduction, and productivity.

People management

• Participate in on-the-job training, mentoring, and coaching of subordinates.
• Set direction, prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor workflow while promoting a high-performance work environment.

Qualifications

• At least six years of experience in the legal field is required.
• A bachelor’s degree in Legal or equivalent is required.
