Job Summary
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to recipes, quality standards, and food safety regulations.
The role ensures efficient kitchen operations while maintaining cleanliness, consistency, and high-quality food production.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Set up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment.
- Ensure food is prepared and presented according to quality requirements.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Monitor food inventory and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas and equipment.
- Assist with receiving and storing food supplies properly.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely meal preparation.
- Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and HACCP requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or similar kitchen role.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
