Overview
Design, set up, and operate studio lighting schemes for live news bulletins, talk shows, and special broadcasts, ensuring optimal visual quality and consistency on-air.
Collaborate closely with directors, camera operators, and set designers to create lighting setups that enhance the visual storytelling of news programs.
Adjust and balance lighting levels in real time during live broadcasts to accommodate presenter movements, camera angles, and changing studio conditions.
Program and operate lighting control consoles and systems to manage lighting cues efficiently during live and recorded productions.
Maintain and troubleshoot studio lighting equipment including LED panels, spotlights, soft lights, and lighting rigs, ensuring operational readiness at all times.
Support the setup and lighting design for special interviews, breaking news segments, and remote studio productions when required.
Ensure compliance with broadcast technical standards to deliver consistent lighting quality across multiple cameras and studio environments.
Coordinate with the technical and engineering teams for installation, maintenance, and upgrades of lighting systems within the studio.
