Since 2014, we have supported clients across industries such as oil & gas, construction, marine, logistics, and industrial sectors with professional inspection and testing services.
Specializing in third-party inspections, proof load testing, thorough examinations, and non-destructive testing (NDT) for lifting equipment and critical assets, we are ENAS accredited for most of our inspection scopes.
Our LEEA-qualified engineers ensure compliance with international standards and UAE regulations, including ADNOC and ADOSH guidelines, helping clients enhance safety, maintain asset integrity, and minimize downtime.
Role Description
We are seeking a qualified Lifting Equipment Inspector for a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections, thorough examinations, and load or functional testing of lifting equipment and lifting accessories in compliance with applicable international standards and regulatory frameworks.
You will prepare detailed reports, ensure inspection validity, and collaborate with clients to maintain a high level of safety and compliance.
Additionally, you will provide support for incident investigations and recommend appropriate measures for safety improvements.
This role will require adherence to BIIS's commitment to quality, technical accuracy, and client service excellence.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Inspection and Testing: Skilled in third-party inspections, proof and load testing, thorough examinations, functional testing, and non-destructive testing (NDT) for lifting equipment and lifting accessories.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with international standards and UAE-specific regulatory frameworks, including ADNOC and ADOSH guidelines, and a keen understanding of equipment operation and safety procedures.
- Documentation and Reporting: Proven ability to generate comprehensive inspection reports, maintain accurate documentation, and analyze data to support operational safety.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Strong analytical skills and judgment required to identify safety risks and recommend corrective measures efficiently.
- Certifications and Experience: LEEA certification is mandatory FOU, LEG, LMM, along with a minimum of 3 years of field experience in lifting equipment inspection. Additional certifications in NDT or related disciplines are a plus.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service abilities, with a commitment to maintaining positive client relationships.
- Educational Background: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical field is preferred.
- Adaptability and Physical Fitness: Ability to work in diverse industrial environments and undertake physically demanding tasks as part of inspection activities.
