Lifting Appointed Person

The candidate should hold a valid LEEA Certificate or equivalent. - Act as the Site/Installation Responsible Person and Representative (focal point) for all technical issues relating to the lifting and movement of loads and directly liaise with the Site Lifting Supervisors, Riggers and Crane Operators. - Have the ability to coach and provide on-the-job training to existing and new personnel involved with lifting operations. - Responsible for briefing all persons involved in Lifting Operations and properly communicate and explain the relevant Lift Plans to the site Lifting Supervisor(s). - Able to communicate with the Site and Project Team, and able to work as part of an integrated team. - Able to plan and prepare both Generic, Specific and Critical Lift Plans, along with the relevant assessments such as selection of crane(s), lifting accessories, calculations, and lifting location drawings. - Able to prepare specific risk assessments for Specific and Critical Lifting Operations, along with the proper control and mitigation measures. - Demonstrate good understanding, knowledge and commitment to the importance HSES safe working practices. - Possess a dynamic character, with the ability to stop any lifting operations that he considers that danger may arise, or if the Lift Plan is not followed as advised.
