Licensed Practical Nurse

Psychiatric Emergency Supports (PES) at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic interdisciplinary team. Working within a fast-paced Emergency Department environment, the successful candidate will provide safe, patient-centred care to individuals experiencing acute mental health and addiction crises. The LPN will collaborate closely with RNs, RPNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient assessment, treatment, stabilization, and safe transitions of care. Strong communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations are essential. Experience in mental health and addictions, emergency care, or acute care is considered an asset. We are looking for a team player who demonstrates compassion, professionalism, flexibility, and a commitment to providing respectful, trauma-informed care.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and Recovery Alberta policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of Recovery Alberta.
