Licensed Laser Technician

About This Role

As a Laser Technician in our dermatology department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laser treatments under the supervision of our dermatologists. The ideal candidate must have a valid UAE health authority license and extensive experience operating advanced laser systems to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial patient consultations, skin assessments, and patch tests to determine suitability for laser treatments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in consultation with the supervising dermatologist.
• Perform a range of laser procedures, including but not limited to:
• Laser hair removal
• Skin rejuvenation and resurfacing
• Treatment of pigmentation and vascular lesions
• Tattoo removal (if applicable)
• Educate patients on pre- and post-treatment care instructions, expected outcomes, and potential risks.
• Operate and calibrate a variety of laser equipment (e.g., Candela, Q-Switch, IPL) safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and document all procedures and progress.
• Ensure the strict maintenance of hygiene, sterilization, and safety protocols within the clinic, adhering to all DOH/DHA regulations.
• Collaborate with the medical and nursing team to ensure seamless patient care and support during and after treatments.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A valid Laser Technician license or Registered Nurse (RN) license with laser privileges from the relevant UAE health authority, DOH for Abu Dhabi
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a laser technician, preferably within a dermatology or medical aesthetics clinic.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining a variety of laser devices.
• Excellent knowledge of skin types, laser physics, and relevant safety protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and professional approach to patient care.
• Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and confidentiality.
• Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus.
