Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Advisor (Manager) to join a dynamic, fast-paced organisation. This role plays a critical part in protecting the business’s legal interests, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enabling strategic decision-making while effectively managing legal risk.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and cross-functional teams, supporting key business initiatives and contributing to the organisation’s overall success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice across a broad range of business matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documentation
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Oversee and manage litigation matters, liaising with external counsel where required
- Identify legal risks and provide practical, commercially focused mitigation strategies
- Develop and implement legal policies and procedures
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners on legal matters
- Support dispute resolution through negotiation or alternative methods
- Conduct ongoing legal research to stay ahead of regulatory changes
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior legal team members
- Deliver internal training on key legal topics such as data protection, compliance, and contractual obligations
Requirements
- Degree in Law from a recognised institution
- Qualified and licensed to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction
- 10+ years’ experience in legal practice, ideally within a corporate environment
- Strong track record of handling complex legal matters
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and frameworks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
