Legal Counsilor

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Advise management and departments on business and commercial legal matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts, agreements, legal notices, and other documents.
• Ensure activities and agreements comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Assess contractual terms, legal risks, and liabilities.
• Advise on corporate, commercial, employment, and general business law.
• Manage legal documentation, agreements, and deadlines.
• Liaise with external lawyers, consultants, authorities, clients, and other relevant parties.
• Handle legal correspondence and support dispute resolution and litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and provide recommendations, opinions, reports, and documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality and support internal legal policies and procedures.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Legal Counsel, Corporate Lawyer, or in a similar position.
• Bachelor's degree in Law.
• Additional legal qualifications are advantageous.
• Fluency in English and Arabic with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and corporate law.
• Experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and legal documentation systems.
• Ability to work independently and provide practical, business-focused legal advice.
• Qatar legal experience and knowledge of local laws and regulations are advantageous.
