Overview
- Contract Review and Drafting
- Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including warehousing agreements, freight forwarding contracts, transportation service agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and customer SLAs.
- Ensure all contracts adhere to relevant legal requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Identify legal risks and propose practical, business‑oriented solutions
- Legal Advisory
- Provide timely legal advice to operational, commercial, procurement, and senior leadership teams on contract interpretation, liabilities, indemnities, insurance requirements, and dispute‑related matters.
- Advise on regulatory compliance impacting logistics operations, including transportation regulations, customs compliance, safety standards, data protection, and cross‑border trade requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and create mitigation strategies for contract-related exposures.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with business units to understand operational needs and ensure contracts reflect accurate service scopes and responsibilities.
- Support commercial teams during customer negotiations, offering legal insight to secure favorable and compliant terms.
- Coordinate with external counsel when specialized expertise is required.
- Policy and Governance
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of contract templates, legal guidelines, and governance frameworks.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to logistics, supply chain, and commercial contracting.
