Overview

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Review contracts, agreements, correspondence, and supporting evidence.
• Assess the legal merits of commercial and financial disputes.
• Provide legal opinions and recommend the most effective legal strategy.
• Prepare legal notices, claims, pleadings, and supporting documentation.
• Represent or coordinate representation before UAE courts, arbitration forums, and relevant regulatory authorities.
• Liaise with government entities, regulators, and external legal stakeholders where required.
• Conduct legal research on applicable UAE laws, regulations, and precedents.
• Negotiate settlements where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable UAE legal and regulatory requirements throughout the engagement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
• Licensed to practice law in the UAE or eligible to appear before UAE courts through an authorized legal practice.
• Minimum 7–10 years of post-qualification legal experience.
• Strong background in UAE commercial and civil litigation.
• Excellent legal drafting skills in English (Arabic is highly preferred).
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills.

Preferred Experience

• Candidates with demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas will be preferred:
• UAE commercial litigation.
• Financial services and investment-related disputes.
• Foreign exchange (Forex) and financial market regulations.
• Trading platforms and brokerage-related legal matters.
• Banking and financial regulatory compliance.
• UAE Civil Transactions Law and Commercial Transactions Law.
• Arbitration and alternative dispute resolution.
• Cross-border commercial disputes.
• Matters involving financial regulators and licensed financial institutions.

Knowledge Requirements

• The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of:
• UAE Commercial Laws.

• Financial services regulatory framework.
• Investment and brokerage regulations.
• Forex and financial market legal framework.
• Contract law.
• Consumer protection regulations applicable to financial services.

• Provide periodic progress updates until completion of the engagement.
