We are seeking a commercially astute and experienced Intermediate Legal Advisor to join our legal team in the UAE.
This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive legal support across our business operations, with a primary focus on commercial and corporate affairs.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to management and business units, ensuring that commercial activities are legally sound, compliant with local and international regulations, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
You will manage the full lifecycle of commercial contracts, mitigate legal risks, and support the business in achieving its goals in the dynamic UAE market.
This position requires a proactive professional capable of identifying potential legal issues and providing practical, business-oriented solutions .
Skills
- Commercial & Corporate Law: Demonstrable experience in handling corporate and commercial legal matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements (e.g., service, supply, vendor, non-disclosure, and shareholder agreements) .
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Strong ability to manage the entire contract lifecycle from initial drafting to execution, ensuring compliance and protecting the company’s legal interests .
- Legal Risk Management: Proven ability to identify, analyze, and advise on legal and commercial risks, and to develop effective mitigation strategies in a business context .
- Regulatory Compliance: Sound knowledge of and experience with ensuring business compliance with applicable UAE laws and regulations, such as Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 (Labour Law), the Companies Law, and industry-specific regulations .
- Legal Research & Analysis: Excellent legal research, analytical, and drafting skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and actionable legal opinions and memoranda .
- Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build and maintain influential relationships with internal stakeholders, business teams, and external counsel .
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from an accredited institution. An LLM or relevant post-graduate qualification is considered a significant advantage .
- 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE), specifically in a legal role with a strong focus on commercial law .
- A minimum of 3 years of this experience must be gained in the UAE, advising on local laws and regulations .
- Languages: Fluent in English. Fluency in Arabic is a significant plus, particularly for liaising with government authorities and local clients .
- Other: Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in using legal and case management systems .
- Pay: Up to AED10,000.00 per month
