Legal Advisor provides legal guidance and support across company business activities, advises management, reviews contracts, supports regulatory compliance, and helps minimize legal risks.
Location and work arrangement
- Position is based in Qatar.
- Work location is in person.
Responsibilities
- Advise management and departments on legal matters.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and amend contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with Qatar laws and regulations; identify legal risks and recommend solutions.
- Handle legal correspondence, notices, claims, and disputes; liaise with external lawyers and authorities.
- Monitor legislation and advise management on potential impacts.
- Support HR on employment-related legal matters and maintain legal records.
- Assist with policies, procedures, and compliance; represent the company or coordinate legal representation in proceedings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law; relevant professional legal qualifications are an advantage.
- Minimum five years of relevant legal experience; Qatar or GCC experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Qatar laws, commercial law, labor law, and contract law.
- Experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and legal risk assessment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and provide practical business-oriented advice; strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Construction, marine, offshore, dredging, engineering, or contracting experience is highly preferred.
Compensation
- Pay starts at QAR 8,000 per month.
