Role overview

Learning strategy and delivery

• Drive the property learning and development strategy in line with business priorities, brand expectations, and service goals.
• Conduct learning needs analysis and create an annual learning plan and calendar.
• Own implementation, adoption, and effectiveness of IHG University at the property.
• Deploy, track, and complete mandatory, brand, and role-based learning pathways.
• Facilitate leadership development for supervisors, managers, and senior leaders using approved IHG content.
• Support development plans and succession planning with department heads by identifying priorities for high-potential talent.

Training operations and culture

• Lead the departmental trainer framework and train, coach, and support trainers.
• Coordinate onboarding, departmental training, and mandatory compliance programs.
• Support colleagues and leaders with development opportunities and career growth plans.
• Monitor training completion and maintain accurate learning records.
• Promote engagement, learning, and continuous improvement across the hotel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, human resources, business administration, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in learning and development, training, or human resources; hospitality experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, organizational, and collaboration skills, with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, guest experience standards, and quality management practices.
• Learning management system and training administration experience is an advantage.
