Leading Hand

• Direct a crew of 2-5 on daily civil works including bulk earthworks, subgrade preparation, drainage installation and utilities.

• Operate plant as required. Water cart, excavator, skidsteer, roller. You are expected to lead from the front, not the sideline.

• Read and work to plans and survey control. Understand what a finished sports surface requires and sequence the work back from that.

• Hold the crew to safety, quality and daily progress. Report to the Project Manager and Construction Manager.

• Keep site documentation current. Diaries, timesheets, safety observations.

• Civil construction background with direct bulk earthworks and drainage experience.

• Experience directing a crew on site, formally or informally.

• At least one RII plant ticket. Excavator, skidsteer, roller or similar.

• Current driver licence and White Card.

• Willingness to get on the tools. This is a working leading hand role.

• A fully maintained company vehicle.
