Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Build customer relationships, assess existing infrastructure, and identify modernization opportunities.
• Design integrated VCF solutions across compute, storage, networking, security, automation, and operations.
• Lead workshops, presentations, demonstrations, and proofs of concept; define success criteria and validate proposed solutions.
• Support account teams with proposals, technical requirements, and explanations of business value and investment considerations.
• Create future-state architectures and adoption roadmaps for modernization, workload migration, and VCF expansion.
• Collaborate with services teams, systems integrators, and customers during implementation; document assumptions, dependencies, risks, and design decisions.
• Track VMware portfolio developments and customer needs, including Kubernetes, application networking, security, and Private AI; share feedback with product and engineering teams.

Required skills and experience

• Experience in enterprise solutions architecture, technical consulting, or technical sales, with a strong background in virtualization and private-cloud infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation and vSphere, vSAN, and NSX.
• Understanding of infrastructure automation, operational management, networking, storage, disaster recovery, and security architecture.
• Able to translate business and technical requirements into practical designs and lead customer workshops, evaluations, and architecture discussions.
• Strong communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills; able to collaborate across sales, engineering, services, and partners.

Preferred qualifications

• VMware certification, particularly VCP-VCF Architect, or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
• Experience with VCF Automation and VCF Operations.
• Familiarity with VMware Kubernetes capabilities, VMware Defend, Avi Load Balancer, or Private AI solutions.
• Degree in IT, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Success measures
