Required Experience and Knowledge
- 7+ years of front-end engineering experience, including at least 3 years in React Native development and proven technical delivery leadership.
- Banking, financial services, digital channels, internet or mobile banking, or fintech experience is mandatory.
- Experience delivering customer-facing applications subject to high availability, security, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of API-driven architecture, microservices, secure authentication, and enterprise-grade integration patterns.
- Experience in large-scale Agile, DevOps, and cross-functional delivery environments.
- Understanding of mobile security, certificate pinning, OWASP Mobile Top 10, and secure SDLC practices.
- Experience leading frontend teams, defining technical standards, and driving architecture and design decisions.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in React Native, React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript; proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, Redux, Context API, React Hooks, and responsive web design.
- Hands-on experience integrating REST and GraphQL APIs, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT authentication.
- Knowledge of iOS and Android application lifecycle management, state management, reusable components, performance tuning, and mobile optimization.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Agile delivery, and DevSecOps; skills in code review, debugging, automated testing, secure coding, and technical problem-solving.
- Ability to mentor developers, manage technical priorities, and uphold engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, and maintenance of secure, scalable, high-performance React Native mobile banking applications.
- Lead frontend development for customer-facing digital banking journeys using React.js and modern frontend technologies.
- Define frontend architecture, coding standards, reusable components, and development best practices; mentor developers and conduct code reviews.
- Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, architects, security teams, and backend developers.
- Oversee API, microservices, OAuth/OIDC, and enterprise middleware integrations; ensure banking security, regulatory, secure-coding, and accessibility compliance.
- Optimize performance, scalability, responsiveness, and user experience across mobile and web channels.
- Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, testing, and production issue resolution.
- Support CI/CD automation and DevSecOps improvements across build, test, and deployment processes.
- Participate in sprint planning, technical estimation, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
- Coordinate stakeholders, technical risks, delivery timelines, and dependencies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience delivering mobile and web applications for retail or corporate banking is preferred.
- Knowledge of mobile application security testing, penetration testing, and regulatory compliance is preferred.
- Experience with enterprise-scale digital transformation and omnichannel banking platforms is preferred.
